Project Summary

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has awarded M/s RKTC-BLA-RAPL (JV) a major contract for Overburden (OB) Re-handling at Bhubaneswari OCP, Jagannath Area. The project, valued at ₹442.68 Crore (including GST), covers large-scale excavation, loading, transportation, dumping, and leveling of overburden using advanced HEMMs such as shovels, dumpers, dozers, graders, and fog canons. It also includes haul road construction, maintenance, and dust suppression measures through water sprinkling.

With a target of handling 5.50 crore cum of OB over 730 days (approx. 75,335 cum per day), the project ensures strict compliance with labour laws, worker welfare schemes, safety protocols, and environmental standards. All deployed equipment will feature air-conditioned cabins and GPS tracking, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and safe operations throughout the contract duration.
